DO NOT USE BUT DO NOT GIVE IN!
Finally today I've got my money - albeit £8 short but I'd given up hope as the company is now showing as ceased trading.
For those still with money outstanding don't give up. I found emailing them direct from their website was the only way to get a response. Emailing them direct and calling was a waste of time. I emailed them numerous times and always got a response from the site email. I threatened them with further action too.
Perservere if you have monies due!

Sent my phone over 4 weeks ago and nothing back and now the site is closed down! what am i meant to do?! it was a £150 phone! where do i start to try and get my money back?

THESE BUNCH OF COWBOYS ARE CROOKS!!!
There not even simply recycle anymore when you try to go to there website, CASH FOR YOUR PHONES compare site now, no contact details on there at all, something needs done about these lot, were going through the trading standards, but not much joy yet.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY - PLEASE READ THIS
No option for no stars! This company do not pay up and ignore all phone calls and emails, don't get sucked in. They have also stopped trading as Simply Recycle and are now using the name cashyourphone.co.uk. I have reported the company to trading standards and the theft of my phone to the police now. Stay clear of these theives.

Absolutely appaling they offer the best rates and do not pay .I have sent several mails no response phoned everyday on the numbers given no one answers . I have been to trading standards they sent me a template to use and explained Simply Recycle Is In breach of contract . My advise Is do not use them they also trade under TECHMO avoid at all costs

Sent my phone off and thought oh yeh it be good. no chance. don't get through. sent e-mails nothing. given them to saturday to pay up or be getting in touch with trading standards and their local police as this is fraud. i hope they are reading this. Do not use them!!!!! wouldn't even give them one star.

*WARNING* ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THIEVES.
I sent my mobile phone off to them on the 16/10/2010, it is now 6/11/2010 and I have heard nothing. I've checked the order status online and it says they have received the phone, they promise to send the money in 5 days of receipt - NOTHING so far. Do not be tempted by the higher price they offer you, that is how they get you. I've emailed several times now and have phoned but have had no response. I'm not going to let this go and am now looking into legal action against this company. They really should be shut down as it is absolutely illegal what they are doing. Don't be another one of their victims.

This company is a bunch of crooks.
Simply Recycle.co.uk offer you slightly more but you wont get your money or phone sent back.
I sent my phone to simplyrecycle.co.uk via recorded delivery and waited for a confirmation email... nothing. I contacted them via simplyrecycle.co.uk website and received an instant automated email promising to look into my query... nothing.
I phoned... and phoned... and phoned... it justs rings off.
Emailed again, received automated email, then nothing.
Tried to phone again, must have caught them offguard, guy seemed friendly and helpful, even made some paper shuffling sounds to sound convincing, told me my payment was going through and should get it in next few days... nothing.

You've been warned, this company take your phone, sell it and keep the money..DONT USE SIMPLYRECYCLE.CO.UK.
Shut them down!

DON'T EVER CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY! Doesn't even deserve 1 star - my order shows as complete (after 12 days), but no cheque was ever received. They don't reply to emails, they don't answer the phone. If you are considering using this company then my advice would be to throw your phone in the bin as you probably have more chance of getting some money for it!

Does not even deserve the one star. AVOID|||!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAd to wait one complete month to get my money when it was supossed to be 5 working days. I only received my money because I kept emailing them every week and threatened them with legal action. That is when they finally called me since they don't answer the phone EVER. Go to a well known advertised company instead.

Absolute discusting got a none working price for my phone which worked fine for me for 18 months after chasing them up with trading standards I was given the alternate numbers 0191 529 5685 and 07521185722 which only answers sometimes. Got my money in the end but beware that they do not return your mobile phones

The phone number probably calls a landline phone somewhere in the hebrides as there is never an answer....just glaf i never sent my phone to them

Sent my phone over 5 weeks ago and not had any response. Emailed them with my query and received no response. Also tried calling them on numerous occasions but the number just rings out. It seems like a scam so will have to contact trading standards.

I raised an order an sent my phone off three weeks ago and I have still not heard anything from them despite two e-mails and several phone calls later.

Does anyone have another number for them, the 0845 number on the site just keeps ringing out. If I hear nothing by Friday I will be reporting this to trading standards. This is extremely unacceptable.

Any tips much appreciated.... Anyone thinking of recycling with them, don't!

I wish i had read the above reviews before i sent them my phone!!!!!!!!!!!! the phone was signed for on august 20th (i have proof) and its now september 2nd - no cheque, despite telling me they had sent it! i have sent several emails to which they have not replied and i have requested my phone back. Although i'm not holding out much hope of seeing it or the cheque!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!! trading standards, where the hell are you!!!!

Do not use this company they offered 42.50 on this site so I sent the phone 3 weeks later i had received no payment so emailed them twice eventually they sent paymeny for 34.50 when i enquired why they said to veiw the letter where it saidorder adjustments which said n/a so it was still no reason to deduct. emailed again to no reply and phone calls not answered please stay away and be aware.

From my previous review i thought id give you an update
after an email i sent saying i want my phone back and a few phone calls i did receive it today However they have kept the box the phone charger and the sim ejector tool needed to put my sim card in. so im left with a phone I cant charge or put my sim in
just DO NOT use these they are either incompetent or purposely kept these items to sell with another phone.

This Company should not be allowed to trade, I waited 4 weeks for a payment after serveral phone calls to their unhelpful staff. When my cheque finally did arrive it was minus £25.00 than what i was originally told i would receive. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had bad experience with this company.
They quoted me £262 for my Iphone 3gs 16gb. I waited around 2 weeks for them to even acknowledge they had received it and then they contacted me saying they would only offer me half being £130. I refused this and they said they would send it back that was about 2 weeks ago and I still HAVE NO PHONE!!
Do NOT use this company!

it was slow process took about ten days but i got paid about £160.00 for my n97 mini and it was 11 pouns more than the closest competitor at the time,i think it worth waiting a bit longer if you re getting paid more

This company should be closed down.... I waited 2 weeks for my money and then recieved £35.80 less than I was quoted. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the phone as it has been in a case ever since i got it. They had the cheek to send a letter back stating that the lens was scratched..... I will never use this company ever again.
