Green Tec Reviews and further Info

i am disgusted with this company. they had got my phone on 11 jan. i still have not been payed. i have emailed several times. they said i have to wait 14 days to get a cheque re issued. i did so and emailed them. still no response or no cheque

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN at 'Compare Phone Recyclers'

You are jeopardising the integrity of this website by continuing to list 'Greentec' on this comparison site
It would appear from the Google Forum as well as the reviews here that since 2007 there continues to be an increasing number of genuine sellers who seek to sell their phones who have been duped/conned etc trading with 'Greentec' and are angry and remain VERY ANGRY without any recourse'.
In the first instance our FIRST exposure to this Trader is from YOUR site. There has been a misplaced assumption of trusting the integrity of the CPR website.You have a GREATER RESPONSBILITY as an independant site to monitor those Traders who are listed. EBay fosters an element of trust and integrity through the Seller's Rating and Trading History and and ability to 'Delist' those Traders who have a history of fraud,dishonesty,dirty dealing etc. Most certainly 'Greentec' is 'la creme de la creme' of DODGY TRADERS. It could be said CPR have displayed negligence towards members of the public for not conducted their own investigations into this Company particularly in the light of so many 'angry 'reviews.
By keeping 'Greentec' as one of your listings' CPR continues to 'advertise' this business,CONTINUES to attract sellers to this Company,CONTINUES to further the cases of misfortune,worry stress and anger when sellers heve been caught up in 'GREENTEC'S' web of deceit,fraud,deception,double dealing, sharp practice and trickery. By not DELISTING this Trader CPR can be accused of 'aiding and abetting' 'Greentec' in their duplicity.

YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILTY: THE BUCK STARTS AND STOPS WITH YOU. IN THE NAME OF GOOD PRACTICE PLEASE DELIST 'GREENTEC' FROM THE CPR SITE TO PREVENT FURTHER
MISERY AND MISFORTUNE'
It has been my great misforrtune to have visited your site and exposed to this Trader.I have no way of recovering 2 mint condition phones or receiving a payment of £236.50.

They say 'once bitten twice shy', certainly from now on I will give the 'COMPARE PHONES RECYCLERS site a very WIDE BERTH.

Please see my comments at the bottom of the previous review. We make no money out of sending people to Greentec. I am publishing these reviews so people can share experiences of Recyclers and avoid any that consistently provide poor service. The average review rating is listed prominently alongside the price offered by that Recycler. There is also a brightly coloured warning above all the ratings/prices suggesting they are read in combination.
I continue to monitor this situation and should Greentec be convicted of a criminal offence or similar then they shall of course be immediately delisted.
However, at this stage I think it better that people get to see these reviews than find the Greentec site directly without the benefit of the reviews. I am trying to be as transparent as possible.

Do not use this company, stick to the more well know, sent my phone over a month ago via registered post, it was in perfect working order and to date i have not received any payment from them. They are a bunch of con men.

notice on your comparison site that you show Greentec as a company to see your mobile phone with. I have indeed sold my phone with them after seeing them on your site, this was a big mistake on my part as payment has still not been made 14 days after receipt of my phone. You can not contact them via phone, Ive tried and tried and the answer machine is now full and wont accept any more messages, and they don’t ever answer the phone, and you don’t get anywhere via email. I have now reported them to Trading Standards and have also started proceedings to take them to a small claims court. I would like just to warn you that they don’t seem to be a legitimate company, and if you google forums on the company that many other people have experienced the same problems with them as myself.

It may be worth looking into the company or removing them as a seller from your site as they seem to be crooks.

We list all the Recyclers who provide automated feeds of their prices. We show these User Reviews prominently along side the prices so good and bad experiences can be shared. I'm sorry you've had such shocking service but all we can do as an independent site is publish the facts as you report them. If we delist a Recycler people may go direct to them without reading these reviews.

Sent 2 Nokia phones in absolutely mint condition 3 weeks ago.I am sending them emails on daily basis requesting confirmation of completion of 'processing' and payment.I an getting noe replies.I am becomming greatly concerned and wished I had read some of the above reviews. I fear I am going to be well and truly 'stitched up' and seriously considering contacting Fair Trading Standards and even BBC 'Watchdog' A WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY repeat DO NO USE

Waited 6 months for the money after my phone was received and then the amount quoted was less than I received.

Absolutly useless.

Rubbish, i compared all of the prices on a comparison website and they were willing to send me £20 for my phone, however when i checked my bank statement only £5 was added. I contatcted them and they told me that the phone was broken when it had arrived there when i had sent it, it was in a great condition. Would never use them again!

Apsolutely terrible. Sent off my Nokia N95, they had quoted me £116, the phone was used but in perfect working order, i had been using it up untill the day i sent it off. Now i know that i wasnt going to get the whole amount but they things they said had been "inspected" were utter s**t
they claimed:
screen damage
camera not working
battery cover missing
LCD not working
PIN locked

ALL FALSE it was BLAITENT lying
so i sent an angry email and they said the best they could offer was £60

SO MAD theyre still insisting i have a PIN for it, which i never have.

DO NOT DO IT
they may offer the best price but you wont get it
